Manaia illustration + Character concept

Personal project of a character based on the Māori culture of New Zeland.
The Manaia Project was created with the intention of showcasing and improving my skills in illustration, character design and research.
It took exacly 26 hours and 36 minutes of work to complete this project.
I'm really proud of the result and hope to keep improving my art to reach a professional level.
